My computer keeps warning me my mouse batteries are about to die! And a so-far frantic search has turned up no new AA batteries in the house, only useless AAAs...am I going to have to venture out into the *cold cruel world*?

Can you steal them from a TV remote?

I just replaced my mouse batteries from my secret battery stash moments ago.

TV remotes use AAAs. *sigh* But I finally turned up 2 in my camera case, and am keeping my fingers crossed that they are new, not used.

The last rechargeable batteries I had did not hold charges very well. But I might try them again.

Meanwhile, let's hope the two I found in my camera case work.

Maybe not! I found a couple in my camera case--but I'm not absolutely sure they are unused. I'm going to wait until the little notice thingy gets frantic, before I put them in.
