It's been a while since I've recced a fic, but one was just completed on SoA that is just lovely:

Eight Elven Cloaks by Virtuella

It is the story of the cloaks made in Lothlorien for the Fellowship, and how each of the maidens who make the cloaks for each individual member perceives the future recipient, and puts an appropriate blessing on the garment. A wonderful warm tale.

Isn't it? I can't imagine why no one ever thought of it before, as it seems so obvious in hindsight! Given what we know about how the lembas was made, this seems like a very Tolkien-ish premise!
