Not too bad, considering how few times I've read it compared to LotR and The Hobbit.

Your result for The Silmarillion Test...

You know quite a lot about the days of old. You must have read the book not only once and it's quite possible that keep it at hand ever since. Although in some cases your answers were not exactly right, your knowledge is formidable. Well done!

If you are into science, please take my Understanding the Natural World Test - it requires very little specific knowledge and is primarily aimed to evaluate your understanding of natural phenomena and problem-solving skills.

Or check my personality surveys and find out What Are You REALLY Looking For on OkCupid or what is your Tolerance Level to the actions and everyday behaviour of other people. Thank you!

I'm impressed.

I tried to take it, just to see how bad I'd do, but I couldn't get my results because I wouldn't join their sight. Too bad, too. I'd really like to know just how low my score really was.:(

You have far more nerve than I do. I am not taking that one. LOL
The Simarillion and I are not at all on the same page.
I think you did very well on it.

Exactly! No Hobbits. LOL
Parts of it are beautiful and I realize that the history in it is very useful for sticking to canon but the lack of hobbits and the long list of strange names just don't make for a very easy read.

I liked "Children of Hurin" also. It has a storyline that seems stronger. But almost anything could benefit from a few hobbits! : )

I really liked CoH! and Sil a lot--very different from LotR and no hobbits but the depth and the language that Tolkien wrote them in is incomparable and unique in its own way. :)
