Happy Birthday Bilbo and Frodo!

Well, it's the Baggins Birthday! Last year, I celebrated it in Scotland at the Moot, among many dear friends, with a Magnificent Cake and bagpipes and excellent food!

This year, there are stories and mathoms on LJ, at bagginsbirthday.

I wrote a little ficlet:

And received in return an utterly beautiful and adoring bit of art from notabluemaia A Bedtime Story

And there are loads of other lovely surprises to be found there!

Some day I'd love to be at a moot with a b-day cake for Frodo and Bilbo! :)

Oh, it was most excellent! The cake had sparklers on it, just like the one in the movies, and all the Knitted Hobbits were there. And even though she could not be there to hear it, pearltook1 had arranged for a bagpiper to be there to play "Happy Birthday" on the bagpipes, as well as a lot of other music.

The pub where the dinner was arranged was packed to the gills with soccer fans, many of them from foreign (to the UK) countries, but even though I don't think most of them knew whose birthday we were celebrating, they all joined in with the singing of Happy Birthday, LOL!

It was awesome!

Yes, it certainly was!!! Ah, I have such fond memories of that night - what a blast we had!
