Still sick

I spent all day resting and playing on the computer, and hoped I'd feel up to going to work tomorrow.

But I still feel pretty crappy. I think I'm feeling better until I actually try to *do* something. I made a very simple supper tonight (creamed tuna on toast), and felt as weak as if I had been running for hours. My ears are still ringing, and if I get up too suddenly, I feel very light-headed.

But at least my voice is a bit less raspy.

The downside to all this is, I will have to go to the doctor tomorrow. (Required by job if off work two days or more.) *sigh* That will be quite a ding in the wallet.

I can understand, I suppose, why employers feel the need to have such policies, but sometimes the things that make us sick are self-evident and only need time to treat. If you have a cold, it won't go away in two days, and if it's just a cold (I only say this in the medical sense, not the sense of how sick you are), then there's not much a doctor can do but say, 'yep, you've got a cold' and recommend that you drink lots of fluids, take cold meds and get lots of rest. And for that, you have to pay for a doctor's vist.

*sends hugs and get well wishes*

I hope you are feeling better soon. Maybe some hobbits bearing chicken soup would help.

gosh, that's a pain about having to go to the doctor if you've been out two or more days! :( I can see if it was over four days or something, but two seems pretty extreme! It often takes at least that much to get over something relatively minor! And no doctor is usually necessary /rantlet :)

Anyway, hope you are feeling much, much better soon! *tucks you in with blankies and hot tea*

*hugs you*

Just rest and take it easy, dear. Don't try to do more than what your bdy tells you that you're up to.

That's one of the reasons I keep dragging myself to work each day. I don't want to have to go to the doctor, plus I would have to cancel my transportation 24 hours in advance or risk the wrath of IndyGo.

You sound like you have been feeling a lot worse than I have. Hope your completely well very soon.

Praying you feel better soon... drat that your employer makes you go to the doctor. But you may need to anyway. That sounds like it may be a bit more than a mere cold.
