TV Meme

You know, it feels really strange: there is only one TV show with characters that I watch--LOST. The only other new shows I watch occasionally are some of the home makeover shows, Food Network shows, and once in a while Carol Duvall.

Old shows? Not even those very often! I'm usually on the computer.

So I couldn't do that meme if I wanted to.

But I always *used* to watch a lot of TV.

Wierd.

Is it because I'm an old fogie, or is it that there really is nothing on worth watching anymore?

Something had to be replaced when I started writing so much fanfiction -- and that *something* turned out to be watching TV! Except for "Lost" and a few other things here and there on HIS or DSC, I don't watch that much anymore, either.

Exactly! I'll watch the occasional documentary on HIS or DSC, and given my druthers at suppertime it's usually either "In A Fix" "Emeril" or "House Hunters", but most of the time my husband flips through on the remote, and we see bits and pieces of different shows, usually ending up at CMT, as he's a huge country music fan ( I like it too, but not as much) LOST is the only new show I've had any interest in in years.
The rest of the time, I'm either reading or writing fanfic.

There's not much worth watching these days. I like "Lost" and when I remember to watch, there's "Monk". I watch old reruns of "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer" and occasionally "America's Funniest Home Videos". That's pretty much it for me and TV. The internet is far more entertaining!

There are a lot of the older shows, like "Buffy" that I liked, and once in a while will still watch, but nothing except "Lost" that I make a *point* of watching. I agree on the Internet.

I only watch "Lost" and the History Channel. I used to watch BBC America, but the shows I like are never on anymore.
And it's not just you; there's nothing of interest to watch these days. Sigh. I guess we'll just have to revert back to books!

Yeah, we have over a hundred channels, and 9 times out of 10 nothing on I want to see.

Shall I list all mine? With the exception of LOST, anything on Food Network, TLC, Discovery, and PBS, all my TV watching is done at work. Primetime usually, and on CBS. Well, I do work for the CBS affiliate here...

Mondays - 10pm - CSI Miami; I care not what others think of David Caruso, I love this show.
Tuesdays - 8-10pm - Navy NCIS and The Amazing Race; reality show. 11 teams of 2 race around the world. Different legs of the race are eliminations, first team to get to the final destination wins 1 million.
Wednesdays - 10pm - CSI NY; well, really, this is the night I tend to skip. I'm not quite used to CSI NY, even though I do like the show. I'm fairly sure that it has to do with Sinese in the lead role. I like him, but...
Thursdays - 8-11pm - SUPER THURSDAY! Survivor, CSI, and Without A Trace; I've been addicted to Survivor since S2 - The Australian Outback. I watch it religiously. Same with CSI and Without A Trace.
Fridays - toss up - occasionally I'll watch JAG, but that's it.

When I'm at home; PBS broadcasting (GPB - can't beat it!). When I'm at work; CBS. When I'm over my best friend's house; Food Network, TLC, or Discovery. Generally, it's Food Network. :-)

I suppose if I worked at a TV station, I might watch more shows, LOL!
I do like a number of shows on PBS, but again nothing I will go out of my way to watch anymore, especially since we have "Good Neighbors" and "As Time Goes By" on DVD.

I don't watch Lost at all, but, unfortunately, someone spoiled me. The only current shows I watch faithfully are The West Wing, Everwood (currently on hiatus) and Stargate Atlantis (which just ended in the US).

I used to watch a lot more TV before I discovered fanfic, but it was mostly because I had nothing else to do! The only show I'm still faithful to that I've been watching forever is ER - otherwise, Lost (when I can get it) and Desperate Housewives are the only current shows I really like watching.

I only watch Lost and American Idol. I also tape the Ellen DeGeneres show and watch it with my mom over the weekend :)

I try to watch LOST when someone at work doesn't ruin it before-hand for me. (I have to tape it as I don't get home in time from work to see it and if I am tired and don't get to watch it a certain coworker will spoil some part of it for me nearly every time.) I sometimes watch reruns of SEINFIELD or an episode of LATE NIGHT WITH DAVOD LETTERMAN if I like his guests, but mostly, I am just on line or watching tapes that others have made for me from channels that I don't get. I watch so little TV that I had my cable scaled back to the basic channels.
