7. The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood by Howard Pyle
8. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
9. The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas
10. Podkayne of Mars by Robert Heinlein
11. The Knowne World Handbook (an SCA publication)
12. Betty Crocker's Cookbook for children (1962 edition)
13. Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott
14. Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
15. Writing & Illuminating & Lettering by Edward Johnston
I confess that I left two things off that occurred to me at once, but that was because they were entire sets of books: One was Childcraft and another was Richard's Topical Encyclopedia. My mother purchased those sets in the 50s, when I was still in kindergarten, and I spent hours poring over them throughout my early life. I still have both complete sets.
But my list is the first 15 individual books that came to mind.
