The DH and I watching Woodstock on VH-1Classic and remembering a simpler time. Neither of us made it there-- we were both just a little too young and a lot too far away. His sister headed there, but I don't think she quite made it.
But I remember how it made the news, and how appalled my mother was, and how badly I wished I could be there where things were happening.
The Woodstock nation was half-a-million strong-- surely *someone* on my flist was actually there. Anyone care to 'fess up and share some memories?
I was already feeling nostalgic after seeing Hair win a Tony Sunday night. I remember our high school debate team driving from Panama City,FL to Jacksonville in our coach's little Renault, and all we listened to the entire way there and back was the 8-track soundtrack of Hair.

Date: 2009-06-11 12:26 pm (UTC)I was over the moon when I got to go see the Monkees, and I saw Paul Revere and the Raiders twice.
My LP of the Hair soundtrack wore out, as did my Sgt. Pepper LP. I do still have a lot of my LPs from back then though, and now we finally have something to play them on again.
Alas, we finally got rid of all our 8-tracks long ago.
