Weird dream

I had a really strange dream last night! I don't know what it meant, but it's one of the odder dreams I've ever had...

I dreamed that there were a bunch of people in an apartment or a condo--perhaps half a dozen or so. I wasn't there myself, but they were listening to an announcement on the radio from President Obama that The Bomb had accidentally been launched and that the world would come to an end in just a few hours. The people did not seem particularly upset by this, but began talking in a very calm manner as to whether this was the proper way for the world to end, seeing as a lot of the signs and omens were missing. As they discussed all this in a very geeky manner, other people wandered in and out, and I realized I was there after all, talking to two women whom I somehow knew were friends from my flist. We were mildly upset that the world was ending so soon, since we would not have a chance to post some stories we had written. We began to describe our stories to one another, when I noticed that Stacy and Clinton from "What Not to Wear" were there, and they were saying that the President should not have been wearing a crewneck sweater to make the announcement (odd, since he did it on the radio) but a V-neck sweater would have been more appropriate. At that I woke up absolutely abruptly.

*shakes head* I have no idea where all that came from...but it all seems quite funny and surreal as I remember it...

Yes, it was the incongruity at the end, I think, that just completely woke me up!

LOL! That's surreal all right. But it's pretty scary to dream the world is coming to an end though.

The funny thing was, at the time it wasn't scary-- it was just scary afterwards when I thought about it. At the time, everyone was taking it very calmly, and were all only mildly disappointed about the things they wouldn't have a chance to do.

Actually, Stacy and Clinton made more sense than the rest of it, as WNTW is one of my guilty pleasures. I love that show. But it was so strange how calm everyone was.

Apparently. I do watch the show a lot, so I guess I can understand how they got into the dream, but it still kind of weirds me out as I remember how, well, uninterested everyone was in their imminent doom. It made perfect sense at the time though.

Yes, well, that's something that does worry me in real life. I often worry about what would happen to my stories and my WIPs if something suddenly happened to me!

That is an odd dream, all right.

You know, I actually do worry about this! LOL! Well, not the end of the world, but that something horrible will happen to me and I won't be able to finish posting a story and everyone will be wondering forever how it's supposed to end.

I'm prone to worrying about the fate of stories not yet posted so your dream makes perfect sense to me! Let us hope the world keeps spinning !
