I just love this section! The Man-in-the-Moon here reminds me a lot of a certain other jolly fellow with a beard, who leaps about and talks nonsense!

I know! I get so excited when I see another motif from Middle-earth in Roverandom's little world! It's like an insight into all these things that had special resonance for the Professor.
