It’s been more than good to see Frodo again, to see him happy as I’d never seen him--no, not even when he first come to Bag End just a young tween, for then he already had that sadness about him, from losing his folks so young. And I didn’t know how much I had missed old Gandalf till I seen him once more, by Frodo’s side. And it’s a wonder to see Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel again, who say they are my friends. Imagine, me, Sam Gamgee friends with the likes of them.
But I still miss my Rose.

Date: 2005-04-19 04:00 pm (UTC)Poor Sam, it seems he's a bit torn in two again, missing his Rose even as he's rejoicing to see Frodo looking so thoroughly healed. But seeing Frodo looking so well gives the promise that Sam is going to heal also. Very lovely. :)
