Heard from Dana

I just got off the phone a little while ago with danae_b. I hadn't spoken to her for quite a while, and we had a nice conversation. She says she doesn't know if she will ever come back to LJ since she's no longer writing, but she is doing well right now, and happier than she's been in a long time.

She said it was fine to post that I'd heard from her, and that she wouldn't mind if others wish to email her or write her.

I was very happy to talk to her again!

I don't think I have her contact info, but if you talk again, tell her I'm glad she's doing better. She's always deserved some happiness.

No, not really, but she'd been going through a rough patch emotionally and financially, and she kind of withdrew from things.

I think she found that keeping up with LJ was more of a burden than she could handle. My hope is that as things continue to improve, she'll feel more able to re-engage here.

But she would be glad to hear from any of you.

I was just telling one of my friends who met her at ELF in 2006 that she had not been heard from in a while and I was wondering how she was doing. I'm glad you heard from her.

I'm sad that she's given up writing and that she doesn't plan to come back to lj, but she's got to do what is best for her. I'm glad she's doing better.

I'd love to keep in touch with her, but I lost her e-mail address when I switched computers.:(

I know. I told her she was missed, and I think it surprised her-- she didn't realize that she was so much of a presence.

I can imagine, it always is hard when people you love decide to go silent for a while, but this made me happy. I hope that one day she will be back.

I hope she will, too. But she still loves LOTR and hobbits, and I think that eventually she might come back some day.

I'm glad she's doing ok. It's sad she doesn't want to come back to LJ, after all it wasn't just for the stories. But I can understand it's sometimes hard to keep up. Please send her my best wishes when you talk to her next.
