Winter Picspam

These pictures were taken the day after Christmas by my husband on his cellphone. I'm experimenting with using LJ Scrapbook, which I've never done before.

My son and I had a lot of fun making this snowman:

	Getting started My son did a lot of work building up the body! I'd never tried to make such a large snowman before.
	Building up the snowman My son really knew how to make a large snowman!
	Hard at work I supervise as my son adds a bit more snow to the body
	What a nose! We used one of our decorative Christmas bows for his tie!
	Potential arms? My son finds a branch that could work to give our snowman arms
	Snowman profile Two button eyes, a carrot nose, smiley
	One arm He's coming along nicely
	Our Snowman! The finished snowman

Thanks! The hat was my husband's-- he usually keeps it in his truck, so he fetched it for us, just for the picture!

And my son found a twig that was the exact size and shape of the smile I'd made!

Hooray!! That snowman looks grand! (I especially appreciate the large base, which a lot of people don't realize is necessary: he isn't going anywhere in the near future!)

Actually, the base is now all that's left of the jolly fellow. And you are right-- it's not going anywhere until it gets even warmer (and stops freezing at night)!

We had a blast! When my son was young, snow was scarce (since we lived in South Mississippi after all)-- we'd never made a full-sized snowman before at all!
