Feb. 22nd, 2010 05:01 pmThis morning I made a post about this apron I made.
So, here's a post showing off the curtains and stuff I have to match in my kitchen. It's picture-heavy!
Here's the Roman blind I made for the window over the sink:

Here's the Austrian shade and valance I made for the window over the breakfast nook:

Another angle--

The valance I made for the back door; the yellow sheers were already in place.

A few of the dishcloths I've knitted to match:

Here's the lower cabinets after the DH painted. I painted the design on the kickboard before he put it up. We deliberately got different drawer knobs, just for fun.

Upper cabinets over the stove:

This shows the back wall. I painted the blue shelf, and want to put some more things up on this wall. The counter where the microwave and toaster oven are is a movable island that came with us from our old house in Mississippi.

Just for comparison, a few "before" shots, taken right after we moved in:

You will notice we also have replaced the countertops-- they had really OLD white-with-gold-flecks Formica before. The one thing I want to do to the kitchen next is to put up a tile backsplash on the sink wall.

Date: 2010-02-23 12:16 am (UTC)I got the shelf here. I see the price has gone up a little since I ordered it last year, but it's really quite handy. I removed the paper towel holder, as that conflicted with the sprayer on my sink.
