Yes, I thought it would be fun if Gandalf met the "Old Took" when he was quite young!

"Gundolpho" is actually a hobbit name used in PoMe, so I thought it might spring to mind if a hobbit couldn't quite remember correctly, LOL!

That is utterly charming. It's Gandalf at his most "Gandalf", and I adored that glimpse of young Gerontius.

I find myself quite fond of young Tooks-- they are charmingly prone to mischief and curiosity, and I don't much suppose Gerontius was an exception!
