Yesterday we were almost seventy, and people in short sleeved Tees and shorts were coming in to the store to stock up on milk and water for the snowstorm...

Golly! I think our local weatherman was seeing these pics. Today I heard him on the radio refer to tomorrow as "the second day of winter".

That's funny! Truly, this past week has been gorgeous spring-like weather, and then all this blew in all at once!

Oh, probably not! It's supposed to be nice again by Monday. Meanwhile, a nice relaxing weekend by the fire, watching TV and playing on the computer...and no need to feel guilty about not working outside!

We're starting to look like that here now. :P I don't think we'll get that much snow but the ground is turning white from that lovely "wintry mix" of sleet and snow.

We had a wintry mix last night-- with hail thrown in for good measure! But by this morning it had turned to snow.

It started last night about midnight: sleet, hail, wintry mix, ice, the snow started early this morning; it's supposed to go away after tomorrow.

Friday it was almost seventy-- people were coming in to the store in t-shirts and flip-flops to buy extra milk and water in case they were snowed in! I found that very amusing.

I think you have about as much snow as we had last week. This week it's been melting away very quickly. It's still heaped up in places though, but not so much any more.

There is no such thing as spring (or fall) in the Midwest. Only alternating days of summer and winter.

Yesterday the equinox was celebrated by balancing 11 raw eggs on the floor. Today the red-winged blackbirds were finally out, fussing with territorial glee. I hope I don't get hit with what you've got here--I'm utterly sick of snow!
