New fic

I've begun posting a new WIP. It's called "Cado's Year", and deals with Pippin's cousin Cado Banks, who was banned from the Shire and now must spend a year in Rohan as a servant to the Man whom he and his brother injured.

The Prologue and Chapter One are here.

The story is a sequel to "The Road to Edoras" and "A New Reckoning", and runs concurrently to my other WIP, "In the Court of the High King".

I've also posted a new chapter to "Ancestress", at troubledtribble: Chapter Eighteen: Memory

In which Mirimë's story has brought Frodo to an unpleasant conclusion...

I'm in heaven, girl!! What have you done to me, between writing Cado's life in Rohan and the other story with Clovis, etc. ! :D

This is going to be very interesting. Nothing I love better than hobbit/man relations (er...I'm meaning this in the most innocent way here) and cultural differences!

I do love writing "cross-cultural" fics. I'm going to have fun with both of these, I think.

I remember reading a snippet from "Cado's Year" some time ago, back when it was a sprout of an idea from "Road to Edoras." That's EXCITING!
