Good morning; hope you're still on the grid and snuggled in there. I recommend re-reading The Long Winter (Laura Ingalls Wilder) and using the experience as grist for the mill.

I've had a few such experiences while my husband was on the road; one in particular when it was 17 degrees and the power went out for 3 days. The kids and I (and the cat and a bird and a tank full of fish) lived next to the fireplace in a pile of blankets and real a whole lot of books by flashlight!

I hope all is well with you this morning. Our forecast keeps changing. Yesterday, it was for a lot of ice today and tonight, but now it's for less ice, and a lot of rain tomorrow. I hope they're right about that, it would mean some melting here.

So far, still have power and net. The DH called earlier, so he's ok too.

(((hugs))) I don't intend on going anywhere. Luckily, so far the back step has not drifted, so Sugar can at least go out the door back there. But I actually have drifts on the front porch.

*hugs* Storm hasn't really arrived here yet. We had our pre-storm last night with a bunch of sleet. I've taken Helo and gone over to my parents' house to ride out the real storm that is coming later this morning, I believe!
