Date: 2011-02-01 03:14 pm (UTC)I've had a few such experiences while my husband was on the road; one in particular when it was 17 degrees and the power went out for 3 days. The kids and I (and the cat and a bird and a tank full of fish) lived next to the fireplace in a pile of blankets and real a whole lot of books by flashlight!
