This one is from
claudia603:
1. Make a list of 5 things that you can see without getting up:
my computer monitor (duh!)
my pen/pencil cup
my two LOTR movie posters
without getting up because my chair swivels, the TV screen (which is behind my right shoulder)
my framed replica of Sting
2. How do you style your hair?
It's long, so I generally wear it up or in a ponytail. Right now it's clipped up with two barrettes.
3. What are you wearing now?
Sweats and flip-flops since I don't have anywhere to go.
4. What's your occupation?
I work in the grocery section of a Braum's
5. What do you hear right now?
New age music from one of the TV music channels, street traffic, my dog barking.
6. Who was the last person you hugged?
My hubby before he left for work today.
7. What is/was for dinner?
Not sure. I may have tomato soup again, or fix myself a hamburger or maybe a salad.
8. What did you do today?
Went to church, came home, watched a little TV while eating lunch; cleaned up my laundry room; doing a bit of 'net surfing; hope to do some writing in a few minutes.
9. Dog person or cat person?
Both. We always had both until our last cat died. Right now we just have one rather elderly and cranky dog, but we love her all the same.
I'd like to have both a cat and a dog again sometime.
10. If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?
I wouldn't. I have three: my RL name, Barbara, my fandom name, Dreamflower, and my SCA name, AElfwenna. I answer to all of them, LOL!
11. What was the last thing that you bought?
Groceries, yesterday.
12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Here's what

"I'd take the LJ around-the-world tour and see my LJ friends who live all over Asia and Europe and everywhere else!"
And I can't imagine a better answer than that. In fact, the one and only time I have traveled abroad, it was for the purpose of meeting some of my LJ friends. I'd do it again if I had the money.
13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully right here in our little house.
14. Where's your birthmark?
I used to have a small arrow-shaped one just above my right knee, but it's mostly faded away now.
15. What are you doing this weekend?
This coming weekend? Not too sure-- but hopefully something fun!
This past weekend? Not much, groceries, laundry, church, housework, and some writing.
16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?
Well, I'd like to play the piano and the recorder better, but that would actually involve practice!
If I could suddenly be miraculously gifted with the ability to play any instrument I don't already play (without the work of learning it, LOL!) then the bagpipes.
17. How are you?
I'm fine! It's been a fairly peaceful weekend.
18. What are you doing tomorrow?
The DH and I are going to go pick out some new carpet and put a down payment on it, and then do a few fun things while we are in Stillwater.
19. What are you looking forward to the most?
This week with the two of us being off at the same time for a while. We both are off work all the way through next weekend starting tomorrow.

Date: 2011-02-20 11:46 pm (UTC)The only problem I have with many amateur pipers is that they only seem to know two songs: "Amazing Grace" and "Scotland the Brave". Both of which are nice songs, but well, not when you listen to them being played over and over and over and over...
And of course, played poorly, they sound like someone's torturing a cat.

And she has a habit of then deciding to wake us up for that purpose sometime between 2 and 4 AM, and gets very insistent!
Also when she wants something and doesn't get it right away, she mooooaaaans at us.
