This week we finally got our new carpet laid. In addition to the carpet, we had tile laid by the front door to create a sort of entry, and we had the hearth of our fireplace tiled.

There are also some pics of my desk, and of a couple of new wreaths I made.

	Hearth The newly tiled hearth. Before we had the tile laid, the hearth was brick, painted a horrible pinky-beige color. I really like the color of the new carpet, a light brown, flecked with dark and medium shades of brown.
	front door entry The newly tiled area by the front door; you can see one of our china cabinets on the front porch. (Most of our furniture was on the porch that day, or the front lawn, or in the case of the piano, in the kitchen!)
