Our Fourth of July decorations!

	Daytime And here we are all decked out (pun intended), LOL!
	After dark The lights along the top are star shaped; we got those at Big Lots for a bargain price. The ones on the ramp rail are globe-shaped, red, white and blue. We got them for a $1 a set for two sets at a yard sale-- they'd never even been opened, and had originally been $12.

I was thinking about you the other day. I think you told me about putting fanfic on my kindle? Well, I was in the mood for a nice hobbitfic and it just struck me that I should see what you still have up. I haven't read nearly all of it. And guess where I'll put it? ;)

*grin* Right now I'm on a Lindelea kick, in the process of re-reading several of her Ferdibrand h/c stories.

I love having the fic at my fingertips and not having to sit at the computer to read, or have the expense of paper and ink to print stories out. I think e-readers are a great boon to fanfic!

So do I. We've found some great deals at yard sales here. They have two "city-wide" yard sales a year, spring and fall, where they encourage as many people in town as possible to have them.

The decorations are charming as is your house! Love the front porch and *squees!* There's the stepping stone with the Doors of Durin! I especially like the after dark shot; those lights are a bargain to say the least.

I had given serious thought to taking the T to Cambridge so Thuringwethil II and I could watch the fireworks over the Charles River, but given that (a) the fireworks start at 10:30 pm and end at 11:00; and (b) I spent at least 3 hours wrangling bags of lobster compost (yes, lobster compost), transplanting hostas and planting new ones, I am pretty much thrashed. So I think I'll guiltily watch them on teevee.

I was thrilled with the lights! I was afraid they might not work, but thought that at a dollar, I could afford to take the risk!

The stepping stones are holding up remarkably well-- I thought I'd be having to touch them up every year, but so far they are doing just fine!

We watch ours on TV more often than going out to see them. Nothing wrong with that!

Wonderful! We didn't do extra decorating this year, but our garage door (see icon) is always ready to celebrate.

We like to do something for every season/holiday. Most of the time it's just a wreath, but at Christmas, Halloween and the Fourth we like to do a little extra!
