It is, really! I love the fall. We'd originally hoped to set a date for 9/22, but it wouldn't work for some of our family members, so we set it back to 9/11. I'm glad now that we did.

Congratulations! What a lovely young couple! The church is reminiscent of the one (United Methodist) where Mr. P and I were married.

Thanks for the upbeat reminder that despite great tragedy and the remembrance thereof, that life does indeed go on, and that's reason for hope.

And life does go on and on. There are many who have better reasons to recall this date than the tragedy it calls to mind for most.

(And LOL on the hairstyle comment. A week before the wedding I went to a salon and asked for a trim. I only wanted a wee little trim, just the split ends, you know? I told her so. She whacked off a good 3" and I went home in tears, ridiculously afraid he wouldn't love me anymore with my "short" hair! Of course that was absurd, but he didn't laugh at me, just reassured me that he'd still love me even if she'd shaved me bald. But it left me with a profound distrust of hairstylists! I didn't go back to one for YEARS! And it's still a rare occasion for me. I always warn them not to start taking off more than I want, or I will quit right in the middle, and go around telling everyone why I have such a weird haircut.)
