Date: 2011-11-06 01:31 am (UTC)I have some! Made from very ripe New Jersey peaches, too. I bought a Cuisinart ice cream maker in the summer specifically to make peach sherbet or sorbet from the peaches that Mr. P was bringing up from the Garden State on the weekends. New Jersey peaches are amazingly good, so I, dragon-like, have been hoarding my homemade sherbet for the depths of winter.

Date: 2011-11-06 01:37 am (UTC)Shirebound's new story is already very exciting, isn't it? I didn't see Lindelea's. I will have to go in search of it later. I always enjoy her stories.
Glad your interent/phone/tv is working again.

Yes, we have them all over Springfield... I really need to remember to stop in and get a half-gallon. The only time I seem to remember is when you mention it and I kick myself for forgetting!

Date: 2011-11-06 02:26 am (UTC)BTW, I forwarded the quilt link to a Tolkienist sister of mine -- who also does "art" quilts -- and she's totally excited!
Seriously, if you want me to send some fabric, e-mail me your mailing address.
*hugs*

Date: 2011-11-07 01:45 am (UTC)I stood in (two) lines for 45 minutes for my $3.78 purchase of bits of fabric!
Don't you hate it when that happens? And it's even worse when you are in a store with a dozen checkouts, and only one or two are open. What's the point of the extra ones if they are not going to hire enough people to man them? (And I hate the "self-serve" ones because at least half the time you have to get help with them anyway. And I'd rather have a person.)

Date: 2011-11-07 12:34 pm (UTC)The craft store was just that busy. I parked what seemed like three miles away, waited 20 minutes in the cutting line for my little bits of fabric, and then walked to the checkout line. Despite having all the registers staffed (even the truck-unloading types were manning registers) the checkout line was across the front of the store, down the side and almost to the back wall. It took 25 more minutes; however, people were pleasant and well-behaved. I just couldn't believe the number of people who having finished Halloween, are now in full-contact Christmas mode. I won't be there for at least a month, maybe more. There was also a big sale, and the last day for a coupon, which I'm sure increased traffic.
I've got two rows put together so far, and I'm just not going to be able to match all those points and intersections perfectly. I am pleased with the overall look, though.
