My cats hate the carrier. They yowl and carry on as if I'm dipping them in boiling hot acid. *rolls eyes*

She didn't yowl the whole time-- just off and on the whole way home. But wow did she carry on when we tried to put her in it! She braced herself with all four feet and struggled mightily. She escaped and took off twice before her former people and we were finally able to get her in.

Sweet! You've got yourself quite the looker. She seems to be pretty comfy on that chair, doesn't she?

My cats all react differently to the carrier. Isabel doesn't like it much, but she voices her complaint for a minute or two and then goes to sleep. Leela cries pathetically, then her cries morph into yowls and shrieks and finally growls. Her joy at being released usually wins out over her outrage at having been placed in the carrier in the first place, but she makes it clear who she blames for her imprisonment. Missy is the worst. As soon as she gets put in the carrier, she pees, poos and pukes right away and spends the rest of the trip pathetically whimpering in between her more vocal complaints. The fact that she always comes out in desperate need of an immediate bath does nothing to endear the carrier to her. I hope your Miss Belladonna adopts Isabel's response!

She does seem to like my chair whether I'm in it or not!

She did cry off and on the whole way home, but mostly she fought being put in it. She escaped twice. It took four people to get her in!

To get her used to the cat carrier, you can feed her in it, or leave treats for her in it, and keep a shirt or something with your scent there.

She's beautiful. And she has a black chin! I had a tuxedo cat who has a black goatee (and the tip of his tail was white). Looks like Belladonna is settling in well.

Her chin is almost half black underneath, though it doesn't show in pictures-- she looks like she has a teensy goatee, but underneath nearly half of it is black.

She is. She seems to like exploring her new home, but she is also enjoying the perk of claiming laps.

I'd forgotten how active a young cat could be, though. She tends to prowl a lot at night, and then come join us in bed-- but tries to wake us us instead of settling in with us. We can't shut her out-- with a floor furnace the bedroom door has to stay open or we'd freeze.

She reminds me a lot of our Henry in colouring - and indeed patterns of the white and black. And in that fact she hates the cat carrier. We have fun every time we have to take him to vets. As to occupying places - he loves curling up between me and the keyboard - a habit he has given my older cat Ricki as well. (typing round her at the moment)

Oh, lovely! Not only a pretty face, but pretty little white feet, too! How old is she?

I know! I love her little white "slippers", LOL!

According to the previous owners, she's just a little over a year old. She belonged to a young couple with a new baby. The mom had allergies, but thought she'd get over them, instead they just got worse.

She was free to a good home, and included all her necessities-- plus, she's spayed and vaccinated and microchipped, although her vet records need to be sent on.
