A while back, lbilover posted a couple of screencaps from the upcoming Hobbit movie, which featured Bilbo in a magnificent dressing gown. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew his mother had made it for him.

This is so touching, Barbara. I loved the descriptions of the clothes, and Belladonna's determination to make a dressing gown that would be a gift from both his parents. Lovely story.

Oh, what a beautiful back story for Bilbo's dressing gown, and how deeply touching. I love that Bilbo can feel enfolded in his parents' love when he wears it. Really lovely, Barbara. ♥
