Jumping back on the FlyLady bandwagon!

It's been fun to see this comm coming back to life lately, and has inspired me to get back on the FlyLady bandwagon! I decided to join in today by getting back to my routines and making a small start on the decluttering/tidying.

I decided to start with my desk; it's right in the living room (actually serves as a divider for my living/dining room) and it's a bad place for a hot spot.

Also my to-do list for today:

1. Morning routine (consists of dressing, making the bed, making breakfast, cleaning up the kitchen and checking my e-mail and flist)
2. Walk the dog. (This is a new addition to the routine, as we just got the dog a few days ago.)
3. Put supper in the crock-pot.
4. Pick up my paycheck and take to the bank. (Postponed to tomorrow, as the checks have not come in.)
5. Help my DH finish up the outside Christmas decorations.
6. Go to library. (Postponed; re-checked books by phone instead.)
7. Computer time: LJ post, write 3 MEFA reviews, begin my Yule fic exchange story
8. Crafting: knitting (scarf for son for Christmas); hem a pair of the DH's dress pants
9. Evening routine (consists of cleaning kitchen, showering, checking e-mail and flist again, bedtime)

(Since we did not go to the library, we used that time to rearrange the living room furniture to make room for the Christmas tree, the DH put up the tree, and I helped him with the lights for the tree.)

My main project for "Road to a Home" is going to be my sewing/craft room, which is in a perpetual state of clutter.

ha, I was just thinking today that I needed to create some kind of, i dunno, routine of some kind (organizational). Your list is inspiring!

FlyLady is great! I especially like having morning and evening routines, and her "You can do anything for 15 minutes!"

Wow--that's one of the prettiest desks I've ever seen!

It came from Dedeaux Clan Furniture in Mississippi.

They make and sell beautiful furniture. We have several pieces of their furniture, including two of their huge chairs, and a custom made CD cabinet, and several bookcases.

The desk is so large it has to be disassembled to move it.

If we lived much closer, I'd probably make a joke and tell you that you can come and clean my house while you're in the mood for cleaning. *lol*

I don't do the e-mails anymore, I mostly rely on the LJ comm-- it's friendly and supportive and doesn't clutter up my inbox!
