I had one of those moments *guaranteed* to make me feel every one of my years.

The workers came to install the new central air today, a crew of four guys. They were all over the house, and especially blocking the hallway, but of course I was expecting that.

Not expecting one of them, sitting on a ladder to say "Hey, weren't you a substitute teacher? I used to go to L----" Oi! Now they're working on my house! It's bad enough when they wait on me in a store, or come in to my store as a customer and introduce their kids, but *now* they are working on my *house*! Next thing I know they will be cutting my Social Security check...assuming that there's any left in a few years when I qualify.

The electric company says we don't have to pay them until we are satisfied. Which is good, because they are going to have to come back and fix the gap in the wall next to the door to the inside unit.

Still, it's good to have central A/C once more. Those poor little window units just weren't enough.

Miss having LOST on tonight. But I have hopes for that show about Ballroom Dancing. That's one of my favorite spectator sports...

Yeah, it's not my birthdays, it's when the kids I helped with their homework come in with their kids and introduce them...

Did you see Mad Hot Ballroom. Definitely good for a ballroom dancing fan. As is the Japanese original of Shall We Dance.

Shall We Dance is out on DVD I think. Mad Hot Ballroom is still in theaters. The IMDB usually has a link to find where movies are showing, and sometimes I've discovered neat little out of the way places through it that aren't nearly as far away as I think they'll be.

Whenever anyone calls me "ma'am", I cringe. How dare they.

("Lost" is starting over at the beginning tonight (10 p.m. where I live), in case you need a "fix".)

It seems that the older I get, the less mature I become. Between my LOTR action figures, Star Wars, time spent on the computer, comic-based movies, Harry Potter books, some time spent playing the 'Pokemon' and 'Magic the Gathering' card games, and a few other odd habits I seem to be turning into a thirteen-year-old boy! I would worry about this if I weren't having such a wonderful time. LOL At this rate, by the time I'm old enough for social security, I should have completely transformed. Welcome to my own private "Neverland"! (Not the ranch, the one where Peter Pan lives.)

LOL! I see nothing wrong with the stuff you're in :P It's perfectly fine to be a kid at heart as long as you don't 'act' childish.

Oh goodness! I may sound totally silly, but when I see my kids I had a few years ago...they're so grown up and in like 2nd grade, I get all flustered. They grow so fast!
