I'm with you. I like LJ the way it is and don't want it to change and become more popular. And it's NOT ugly!!! It's simple and clean - just the way I like things.

Those articles worry me too. I hate the idea that LJ is going to change. Probably to compete with Twitter and FB, doggonit.

I too am uneasy about these ideas LJ has to expand itself. :P I reassure myself that there's always Dreamwidth. Though I don't like it quite as well as LJ, if LJ goes off the deep end a la Facebook and becomes something different than what it is, I can always transfer operations there. But I'd prefer staying here with things as they are.

Re: LJ - bigger ain't always better. I hate it whenever they try to improve it, like tying it in with FB/twitter or changing the account types. So you're definitely not alone in that.
