First of all, pics of our decorations on the house:

Pics from the "Oilpatch Festival" in Drumright:

It was awesome fun! We only stayed till about 4. The heat got to us, finally, so we came on home. Would have been nice to see Dunn and the fireworks, but we were too tired. The food was great-- generally "free food" means a hot dog and a little soft drink! Not there! They had Bar-B-Q pork, hot dogs, sausages and burgers, along with chips, baked beans, macaroni salad, tabbouleh, sliced watermelon, and unlimited cans of soft drinks and water. They also had a neat set up for the beer. We don't drink, but we watched the line at the beer place. They had a thingie that scanned a person's ID. Then a bracelet was issued. Each time someone got a beer, the bracelet was punched. Six punches was the limit. And they had site security watching to make sure no one gave their beers to someone else.
Parking was great, too-- they had people directing it up at the entrance, and then golf-carts to shuttle everyone down to the activities.
The music was late getting started, as they had electrical difficulties, but once it did, it was quite good. They also had sky-divers, a tent with a magic show, several of those bouncy houses for kids. Mostly the DH and I sat in the shade and people-watched; I was knitting, and got quite a lot done on my project. The only bad thing was that one of our folding chairs collapsed! The DH hauled me out of the wreckage, and fetched a folding chair from one of the eating pavilions.
Anyway, we left at around 4 and came home and crashed. We talked about going back out to see the fireworks, but decided instead to watch "A Capitol Fourth" on PBS.
Hope everyone else had a great holiday!
