Oh my goodness... it all has to be very alarming and I'm impressed that you're managing to stay so calm (because you're experienced with such things now, sadly!). We had wildfires about 100 miles north of us last year, during our terrible drought, and it was very frightening to me. I could smell the thick smoke outside.

So glad your DH made it home safely.
