Surfacing briefly from trying to get the winners' announcement post ready for the Tree & Flower Awards (finally got the counts tallied and now wresting with formatting) to post a couple of things I wanted to post about earlier but didn't get the chance.

Did anyone else see ABC newscaster Josh Elliot and Stephen Colbert being geeky about The Hobbit trailer on the red carpet before the Emmys the other night?

Listening to the BBC LotR production on my pillow speaker at bedtime is NOT conducive to sleep.

Politics are making me nuts. PLEASE let election day get here soon!

Doggies and kitties have very sharp teeth, even when they are only giving you love-nips.

It was very brief. I missed seeing Robin Roberts there (she's on medical leave) but I enjoyed watching the others fill in for her. I loved that Josh asked him if he'd seen the trailer--you could tell he'd just been dying to ask him about it, and he asked him to hang around after they cut away, so they could talk about it! LOL!

Good description. And of course, it STILL won't go away afterwards either.

Both of them, at different times. Miss Bella got my right hand pretty good last night when I dared to stop petting her for a moment; Sophie got my right arm in bed when she told me good morning today. I got a little puncture from the kitty, and a small bruise from the dog.

Is he really? I got such a kick out of it--as well as the revelation that Josh is a fan too! You could tell he had just been dying to ask--and then asking Stephen to wait after the cutaway so they could talk about it, LOL!

LOL! Political ads aren't the half of it. I am afraid I can't resist watching the talking heads--and then sit there muttering at them or even worse yelling at them when they say something stupid.

I LOVE Stephen Colbert's LOTR geekiness. He's one of the few celebs who's not embarrassed by his fandom. He's TOTALLY serious about it. I love him!

I remember once on TDS, Jon Stewart asked him who Aragorn was and Stephen, with total seriousness, gave a textbook perfect explanation. I realize he's an actor, but I got the distinct impression, he pulled it out of his head right there on the spot. It was AWESOME.

I've seen some of Colbert's LotR geeking out, and it's adorable. But finding out that Josh Elliot loves it too is really fun. I confess, I am *not* a fan of celebrity culture, but I do very much like the team on Good Morning America!
