T.S. Cindy is on her way, and looks like we will really get dumped on. They're saying 4-6" most places with up to 10" in some places. And Dennis is right behind her...

*Sheesh* it's that time of year. I could really do *without* hurricane season, you know.

Hope we don't lose power, though. I would *really*really* hate that. Or cable. Can't get online without cable.

I can just see it. Tomorrow's going to be really boring if that happens.

My weather guy says it's the earliest ever that there have been four named storms. I'm not sure about that, going to wander the hurricane database at http://weather.unisys.com/hurricane/index.html to see if he's right. (But mostly because it's fun to look at.)

I hope you get through okay, though. After last year I'm surprised anyone still wants to live in Hurricane Alley...

I'm pretty sure he's right, because that's what they're all saying down here.

Well, really, anywhere you live it's something--the West Coast has fires and mudslides, the Midwest has tornadoes, the mountains have flooding, up North there's blizzards. And then there are those big cities that get incapacitated by massive power blackouts. I may complain, but at least with hurricanes and tropical storms you get some warning.

Tonight, however, I might wish to be elsewhere, LOL!

Oh, dear! I thought of you immediately when I saw the weather report. We'll all be watching and wishing and praying for you that it's not bad!

Well, it's a tropical storm and not a hurricane. Certainly not a patch on Ivan. We'll just keep our fingers crossed. DH is upset because he has to leave me to go to work tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. We are north of Interstate 10, and believe it or not, that makes a *huge* difference in what kind of weather we get.

But it looks like we are in for a very active season.

Maybe the storms with miss you. I will keep my fingers crossed that they do. Loss of internet is simply not acceptable.

Well, the storm didn't miss, but so far the power/cable are still going.

I can't imagine how it's like to have such weather. There are floods here sometimes (not so strange with half the country below see level ;-) ) but I live on the higher grounds, so I've never had to worry about the damage nature can do.
I hope everything will be alright!

I would imagine floods could get very bad in your country.

I'm tired and discouraged, but I keep reminding myself...it could be worse...
