Not a Good Day
Jun. 30th, 2013 03:49 pmSick! I had to come home from work when my shift was less than half over; the DH was very nice and did not say "I told you so" when he came to pick me up. He'd told me to call in this morning.
Unpleasant sicky TMI under the cut:
I've been having diarrhea off and on for a long time. It's one of the side effects of two of the meds I take, and so I mostly just put up with it. But the last week or so it's been pretty bad--worse than usual. I was up several times in the bathroom last night. I took an OTC Imodium this morning, and it slowed things down though it didn't stop it. I went in at 10AM for my shift. I warned my co-worker I might have to make more bathroom breaks than usual, and I did--but then about 12:30 I started to feel really bad: nausea, not the other. I made a dash for the bathroom and barely made it to one of the toilets before I threw up big time.
So the manager let me go home. I came home and sat in my recliner and napped for a while, and then I had a few crackers and some lemon-lime soda, and I feel a little better. But I may call in tomorrow.
I know I need to see the doc about this, but we are still uninsured, and the providers will no longer take a post-dated check, so I can't do much about it right now except hope I get through it.
Anyhow, that's been my day so far.

Date: 2013-06-30 11:01 pm (UTC)But anyway, I'm so sorry you're feeling this rotten! :( I really hope that whatever it is not your side effects worsening but rather just a virus that will pass in a little bit! How miserable! I hope you are feeling WAY better by tomorrow (but I would still make sure to stay home and get some rest!)

Date: 2013-07-01 11:47 am (UTC)mumstheword's recommendation of BBRATT is a good one. Hope you feel better soon. And I also hope it's not much longer before your insurance kicks in. Here's to a speedy recovery.
