I am *so* in denial! I don't *want* this hurricane, but now it looks unavoidable. I don't *want* to evacuate, but I don't think this is something the DH will give in over. He says if he is worried about me being here on my own, he can't do *his* job. Times like this, his being a nurse just plain sucks. If he had a different kind of job, he wouldn't have to be stuck at the hospital, a block from the beach. And the thing is, I keep remembering last year, and how we left for Ivan when it wasn't really necessary after all.

I've got so much going on right now, I just really don't want to leave. And I'm not sure where I would go, either.

*sigh* I guess I've got to bite the bullet, but, *sheesh*!!!!

Was thinking of the hurricane when reading your little-Merry-young-Frodo story and hoping that the dumb thing would turn around back into the Gulf and sort of dissipate.

I can't believe you're going to get hit by yet another one! The Gulf Coast has really been taking a pounding the last year or so.

I know you don't want to leave, but better safe than sorry. They're saying this is the biggest storm to head your way in a long time. And really DH is right. Go find a place inland, for him if not for yourself. I'll be sending out all my best thoughts this weekend that your evacuation is all for nothing once again.

Oh dear, I hope you're ok. Evacuation is never fun, but it's better to leave and not need to, than it is to stay and keep your fingers crossed.

This right after the TS too. This really sucks.
