Marigold's mom...

The apartment building where Anna lives is now under mandatory evacuation, so the DH has gone over there to pick her up. So Marigold's mom will be with me through the storm.

Dennis has picked back up, and they are saying Category 4, by landfall. They are also saying that it is pretty well-organized, and will pack a bit of a wallop even on the west side. I hope not too much of one.
One good thing they are saying is that it is not going to be as *wet* as Cindy was, as far as rain goes. *fingers crossed that they are right about that one*

Take care and thanks for taking Marigold's Mum under your wing. Marigold can't always get on lj so easily as her dial-up takes 10 years to load a pixel, but I'll tell her tomorrow (Sunday) and she can post from here.

I sent her an email, too. But Anna's here now, and just fine. We are not under mandatory evacuation here, we're in Zone C, which is "evacuation reccommended", but we will be sticking it out.

I certainly am hoping that the season is going to peak early, and blow itself out, but I am so afraid that at the rate things are going we'll be repeating this scenario all to often this summer.

*hugs* I'm so glad I don't live in hurricane country! I can't imagine what Hurrican "Season" is like. Be safe!

It starts in June and runs through November, with the worst storms usually coming in August/September. But this has been strange so far this year: fournamed storms before the middle of July! If this rate keeps up, we could be to "L" or "M" by the end of Setember. I wonder if we'll get all the way through the alphabet? I think the farthest in the alphabet we have gone was "O" for Hurricane Opal one November in the mid-70s.
