Much to be thankful for
Nov. 25th, 2004 08:40 amThis Thanksgiving day I truly have much to be thankful for. Yesterday a tornado tore through our area, and somehow we were completely skipped over.
Not more than a couple of miles from here, a church was smashed to toothpicks, and several homes were severly damaged. Not one person was injured or killed.
Last night, I thought I was going to wake up with a bad cold. I had all the signs. But after a hot shower this morning, I feel 100% better.
Two days ago, I was not sure if my brother was coming for Thanksgiving, but he called yesterday, and will be coming.
marigoldg 's mom will be joining us this evening for dinner.
My dinner is all ready to go out of the freezer and into the oven. The only thing I actually have to *cook* today is the turkey.
We get to watch the parade on TV this morning.
And I am very thankful for all the new friends I have made on LJ.
Those of you who are American, I hope for you a wonderful holiday; for the rest of you, have a very happy day, and I hope that you have much to be thankful for as well!
(((hugs to all)))
