The EE is amazing!

dreamflowerWatched it yesterday, on my own, and was thrilled with the scenes. Some of them I did know about because I was a bad girl and read spoilers, but even so, they were wonderful. Then watched the first disc again tonight with my husband.

I was so thrilled to finally see Merry get to pledge to Theoden.
The scene with Pippin and Faramir was beautiful, and brough tears to my eyes.
I *loveloveloved* the scene where Pippin took Gandalf the cup of water!
The bit in the Paths of the Dead, but my DH, who can be a bit sarcastic at the best of times made me chortle. Where Aragorn and the others are all sitting out on the mountain, dejected, and the Dead King comes out and says "We fight!" He looks at me and says "Well, he had to take a head count first."
*snort*
Tomorrow will watch some more of the appendices.
