One day left

I went in early to work, about a quarter after 8, and didn't get off until nearly 6:30, so I could meet the person taking over for me. She's really nice, and I think she will enjoy the job.

I am so having mixed feelings now. Today, out of the blue, one of the children told me "You are really good at this job", and one of the little girls gave me the pony bead necklace she had made. I am going to miss this job I know I am, and all the little perks of it. But the exhaustion I've felt this week still convinces me it is time to take a break from working. I am so glad, and know that I am so lucky, to be able to do that.

Tomorrow will be another long one, and then it's over except for teaching my classes and the occasional demo, and doing one party next Tuesday morning.

*sigh* (and I don't know if it's relief or regret or both)

Oh, I'm sure it will, too. But I can't help but wonder anyway. I am looking forward to more free time, though.

Are you quitting your job? I never knew that! What happened? Are you going to do something else instead then?

I'm going to stay home for while at least, and just teach my own classes there. My DH is very glad. The job is demanding more of me, and I have had less time for housework etc. (Not that he doesn't help a lot, but his own job doesn't leave him much time either.)

Well, of course you are good at this. But what is keeping you from still going on with this, but maybe at a different place in a different form? :c)

I'm ready for a break. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they would not take me back there, but I need to be off from working for a while.

Probably both. I felt the same way when I left my first job.

Yeah, I think so. But it's not like I'm completely leaving. As I said, I'll still be teaching and doing occasional demos.
