Here's a question for those of you more intimately acquainted with the gremlins who run the computers of the world: twice now I have gone to empty my spam filter and found that the *sender* was *me* (in other words, my own email address)and the "spam" in the subject line was something I never heard of. Is this something virus-y that I have to worry about, or just some spammy idjits being clever?

Spammy idjits being clever. All those "we rejected the message you sent" thingies for messages you know nothing about are bogus too.

Might be a virus. What is the subject line?

Keep an eye on it. It might be that a spam bot harvested your e-mail addy from a site and disguises itself by mimicking the sender e-mail adress coming from you, but in fact the orginating sender is someone else. In the header you can see from where the e-mail is coming from. In wich field it stands (From, To, CC or BCC) can also give you a clue. If you want to, I can have a look at the headers the next time it happens. Just forward me the full e-mail in that case. There are e-mail virusses going around, but why on earth would it end up in your own inbox.
