A big Thank You

I have gathered that this is Fanfiction Author Appreciation Week.

There are so many good authors that I would not even begin to know how to pick out the ones I would want to thank personally. But there is one person, who seldom even writes fic any more, whom I would like to thank.

Every month, there is a day when I know I can look forward to my fill of excellent hobbity stories. It is one of the highlights of my month. I can go to one spot, and find a goodly number of brand new stories, some by established writers, and others for whom it is their first fic, or maybe their first hobbit fic. I spend most of that Friday checking off and on to see if it has been posted.

I am talking of course, about Marigold's Challenge. Our marigoldg works very hard every month to bring us these stories; she challenges us as authors to come up with new scenarios; she provides plot bunnies; she even betas when she has to. And she has provided us as readers with a seemingly endless supply of wonderful stories.

I've been lucky enough to meet her in person, and have fun with her in person. She is very special.
