dreamflowerI thought I might as well jump on the band-wagon. I don't have a lot going at the moment--but here's what I do:
WORKS IN PROGRESS MEME
1. AN AU--
“Yes,” said Sam, “it’s a troll all right; a bit bigger than the one in Moria.”
Pippin nodded, leaning casually on the hilt of Trollsbane, and added “It’s smaller than my troll was.”
“At least this one won’t fall on you. How do you suppose it came here?” asked Merry, in a tone of light curiosity.
2. CHALLENGE #32
Gimli glanced up as Frodo approached. Aragorn had them taking the watch in pairs now. He thought that they would be in danger from both sides of the River.
3. A POSSIBLE FIC SET IN MY “EUCATASTROPHE” AU
“Fam! What are you doing? Find the ball, so we can get on with the game!” Peridoc Brandybuck called to his cousin, as they and their friends had been playing at ball in a small and sunny courtyard garden nestled between two wings of the Citadel. It was not far from the Royal family’s private exit.
“I can’t find it, Perry!” All that could be seen of the young Took was his bottom, and his hairy feet, as he was crawling beneath the shrubbery that lined the stone garden wall.
4. A COUSIN-FIC FOR WEE!HOBBITS
“I’m so happy you decided to come with us, Aunt Dora,” said Frodo gallantly, as he gave his arm to his aunt.
“Well, since your Uncle Bilbo could not come, it is only proper that you have an adult with you at such an occasion.” She looked at her surroundings curiously--it had been a good many years since she had been in the Great Smials.
5. THIS ONE IS CHEATING. I HAVE CHOSEN THREE SENTENCES AT RANDOM FROM MY WORK ON “ROAD TO EDORAS”. THE FIRST PART’S BEEN POSTED FOR AGES, AND THE NEXT PART HAS YET TO HOOK UP WITH WHERE I LEFT OFF. BUT YOU CAN SEE I’VE BEEN WORKING ON IT!
In an effort to distract Berilac, Freddy said, “So this is the Rohan Merry speaks of so fondly. I must say, Beri, It’s nothing at all like Buckland.”
Mosco added, “It’s nothing like any country we’ve seen before. All this grass and all that sky, as far as the eye can see. I can’t say I find it very comfortable.”
Everything else I have has been posted.
