dreamflowerWell, I'm home and put. I think things went more or less okay, and I'm supposed to get the results of the tests on the 4th.
Medical TMI behind the cut:
We got there right on time this AM. (Rather handy living only two blocks away.) Handled the paperwork, and was taken back to get prepped. The DH stayed with me until they got ready to take me, and then he went on up to the 4th floor to his unit.
I had to have another mammogram, this time with a needle stuck into me--ick! They had to put a wire in, to pinpoint the location of the whatever it was. I just ***HATE*** getting my boob squashed, and getting it squashed while they put a wire in it was even more painful. But when they were done, it looked like a little target: first the mark from the squashing, then the betadyne, and then a little spot of blood with the wire sticking out. But I spent the time trying to talk the tech into watching LotR--she said she'd never seen it. That was fun.
Then they took me to the OR and put me out. Apparently I go under fairly easily--I don't *think* I called for Gandalf this time, anyway. Woke up in recovery, with the DH there. Took me awhile to come out of it--it's really rather pleasant being snowed, actually. My stomach was growling like a hobbit's--no wonder, since it was after 12, and it had been 14 hours since I'd eaten anything!!
They gave me a scrip for Lortab (I saw that Claudia got the same thing) and we picked that up on the way home; pharmacy's across the street from the hospital fortunately. The DH got me all settled in, gave me some lunch, and headed back to work.
I will probably take my Lortab in a few minutes, and zone out for the rest of the day, but I just want to thank ***everyone*** on my flist for all the prayers and good wishes!!! (((((((hugs to all))))))
