Uh, yeah.
Great big spoilery-type spoilers behind the cut...
RIP Charlie.
Bye-Bye LOST.
Note to TPTB: A promise is a promise, and don't make ones you don't intend to keep; no Charlie, I'm out of here.
That said, the DH doesn't believe he's really dead, given the way supposedly dead folks keep coming back. So if the DH is right and Charlie somehow is alive after all, I will take it back. But I don't think it likely. That was way too much of a swan song.
I have to say, Dom really did get to prove his acting chops this season. I have truly loved his cheeky determination to meet his fate on his own terms, and with humor to the end, all for the sake of those he loves. Sort of reminds me of a certain hobbit from Buckland.
The other really lovely moment, and one which I *knew* was coming somehow, was Hurley hurtling to the rescue.
As for Jack and that whole "flash-forward", ugh! I've not been a Jack-hater like some folks, but sorry, *that* was really crappy. What? Are they trying to make people think the last two seasons are going to take place *off* the Island? I don't really care. I won't be watching to see how they dig themselves out of this hole.
Too bad. This was a "jump the shark" episode for me.
