In case anyone's interested, auntiemeesh is trying to get hobbit_ficathon going again:

hobbit_ficathon is a weekly ficathon site, with a focus on J.R.R. Tolkien's hobbits. Each Friday a challenge will be posted and responses to this challenge will be accepted during the following week. Anyone is free to submit a response. As this is an open community, please keep in mind that people under the age of 17 may be reading your stories.

To that end, mod auntiemeesh has come up with a challenge for this week, being June 2-9. The challenge is to write an h/c fic, with someone getting a bump on the head. It can be a small little boo-boo that is fixed with a kiss and cuddle, all the way up to serious, life-threatening injuries, and doesn't need to be limited to head injuries, just inclusive of them. You can post your stories to the community any time between now and Friday (June 9) night, at which time this challenge will be closed.

Since the community has been dormant for a while, we hope that everyone will feel free to participate and would like to welcome new members to join! We'd love to get this going again!

Since the week's hobbit_ficathon challenge is AU, here's a bit of something that could have made a major change to the entire Quest...
