I'm surfacing finally after a weekend of being sick. I slept almost all day yesterday and today, finally beginning to feel human again this afternoon...(cut for TMI)

For some reason I had a horrible case of the trots all day yesterday and most of today. Even Lomotil didn't seem to help much, besides flat knocking me out. Not only could I not stay out of the bathroom, but I kept having these nasty-tasting belches as well. I don't know if it was a bug I'd picked up, or something I ate that didn't agree with me, but I am grateful that it seems to be past now.

My DH was a real sweetie-pie, cleaning house this weekend so we can finally get the rest of our Christmas decorations up. And *work* has finally started on the house! My sewing/craft room was first on the agenda--they cut out and removed the moldy sheetrock, and they placed a concrete footing around the perimeter of the room. It's actually possible that my flooding problem in that room may now be solved. They also poured the footing and laid the bottom part to rebuild our back porch. It's actually going to be more of a sunroom than a porch now.

The dogs were a mess. They do not *like* having strange people in and around their house, making scary noises. I dread tomorrow. DH will be at work, the workmen will be here, and I'll have to handle two neurotic dogs on my own.

I hope to get some things done tomorrow that I didn't feel like working on over the weekend. Let's hope I'm over the whatever-it-was.

Sorry you were sick. The trots are not cool and for them to last that long! You poor thing. Glad to hear you're better now, and you're getting your house fixed! Yay! You must be so relieved.

((((hugs))))

I'm glad your better. Have you tried Immodium? It always does the trick for me, although sometimes I have to take a few doses. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids to keep from being dehydrated.

Excellent that you will soon have your sewing/craft room done! That'll be a big improvement for you.

Keep feeling better!

I'm sorry you were sick, dear. It sounds really nasty and the worst thing I know is when I have to stay in the bathroom for longer than needed because things that are supposed to stay inside doesn't.

I hope you feel better now!

Yay! for the work starting and for maybe solving your flooding problem. :D Wouldn't that just be wonderful if you didn¨t have to move your things out each time it threatens to flood?

I suppose it doesn't help putting the dogs in a locked up room or kept outside? Maybe if they can watch the work? I don¨t know, just tossint my two cents in here.

((((((((((big, big hugs))))))))))))

Btw, now that you have a paid account you need some icons, will see if I can work on that for you this week... ;) I don't excell at it but it is fun with what limited resources I have. Anything you'd want in particular?

Oh, dear! I'm sorry you were sick over the weekend. Glad to hear you're doing better now. And you're getting your house fixed! How exciting! It's great to hear you might finally get that sewing room flooding problem taken care of. I know that has been a troublesome area for you for a long time.

Good luck with your workmen and doggies!

Sounds like the work is going along splendidly. Glad to hear it. Hope you continue to feel better and that the dogs don't eat any of the workers.

I know how miserable you must have felt. I've had that same thing happen way too often. Hope it's all over for you now.

I have the same problem with one of our dogs. She goes absolutely nuts when someone new, especially male, comes into the house. It is almost comical to watch an 11-pound dog growling and snapping at a 150-pound human, except I fear for the human's safety. I really think she'd like a bit of "fresh meat".

Take care and hope you feel all better.

Maybe you could put the dogs in the Garden, or give them a toy to distract themselves with

Sorry to hear you were sick, but I'm glad you're feeling better!

Glad to hear things are happening with the house, that's great! Especially that you might get the flooding problem solved! And putting the decorations up always helps make the place feel cheerful even when you have lots of work going on :)

Hope you're feel okay again... I've been sick, too, and it's definitely not easy to get things done and feel productive during those times. *hugs*
