Memorial Day

Both the DH and I were off on Memorial Day-- not something I expected, so it was nice! We slept in until after 9, and then went to Walmart to pick up a few things. Got to laze around a little. Our son came over to have supper with us. Picspam behind the cut...

	Banana Pudding Here's what I made for dessert: Classic Southern-style Banana Pudding, made using the recipe on the vanilla wafer box, the way I've made it for 43 years...the DH especially asked for me to make it
	The DH at the grill Here he is, grilling away. We had steak, brats, roasted veggies (including new potatoes, carrots, onions, mushroom and tomatoes).
	Me on my new swing Here's the swing the DH got for me. My son took the picture, so you can't see the pretty canopy.
	Here's my husband with our son DS spent the afternoon with us, helped out with the grilling, and ate his fill! It's really nice to have him come over as company-- he's done much better since he moved out of our house.

I worked a full shift today; we had leftovers for supper, and I've spent the evening making MEFA nominations! I am so glad the MEFA season has started!
