Fic updates and other things...
Nov. 29th, 2006 11:03 amFirst of all, the fic updates:
Road to Edoras, Chapter 34, is up at SoA. Now at the homestead of the Rohirric family, the hobbits learn a bit of interesting folklore about themselves...

A Different Kind of Mary Sue (A Wee!Hobbits AU) part 2--More fluff with the "giant" toddler, and Bilbo and Paladin worry about what they will do with her. But help is on the way...

And yesterday was downright strange.
First of all, we thought that the deal for our house had fallen through due to a red tape snarl-up. But after a few nail-biting hours of anxiety, we were able to get the problem sort of resolved. Closing will still be delayed until the end of January, but we will still be able to move into our new place ahead of time. Our realtor has really gone above and beyond the call of duty--I'm impressed.
And I have to run some errands today.
((hugs flist))

Date: 2006-11-29 04:42 pm (UTC)Another chapter of "Road"!!! Quick! Where did Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour go? (And Bing, he was around a little while ago...)
Oops. Wrong "Road". Never mind.
*delighted grin* (another chapter.)
And glad for the summary of the "Mary Sue" you put here--I had sort of dismissed it when I saw the summary for chapter 1(? i think it was chapter 1) what with trying to do *something* for the MEFAs--but am on cold meds again and thus brainless. I can type in drafts that I wrote out in longhand last week, but have trouble putting new sentences together. Just hoping this newest stuff doesn't go into bronchitis again. But I'm rambling.
Where was I? O yes, the wee-hobbit story sounds entrancing. (adds to list of want-to-reads)
O selling a house can be so stressful, and harder with the holidays. But glad for the good news.
*hugs again*

Date: 2006-11-30 10:13 pm (UTC)And I do hope you like my "Mary-sue" silliness! It was just a bunny that would *not* go away.
And I love those old "Road to..." movies. It's a shame I can't get Bob Hope and Bing Crosby to play Freddy and Berilac...Ooops...now *that's* a bit of silliness that I'd never live down...

Date: 2006-11-30 10:16 pm (UTC)Well, let us say that is definitely the implication, though I will never say it right out.
Things are beginning to come together...
