Off to work

Well, I'm leaving for work. Unless the store closes early, I should be back home sometime after 4. I talked to Anna, Marigold's mom, and they have not yet been issued an evacuation order, so she's okay for now. I told her to give us a holler if that changes.

I really am going to have a boring day at work. I cannot imagine that the store will be very busy except perhaps for people looking for candles, LOL! I'm sure that I won't have very many at Kid's Club. But the two ladies who are taking my Polymer Clay Class this afternoon said they are still planning to come!

So far, so good...

Looks so far as though Dennis is going to do an Ivan, and hit to the east of us, so we'll be on the "good" side of the hurricane. Also seems to have slowed down a bit, so DH won't have to go in to the hospital until early in the AM.

I could have counted the customers on my fingers today. We did have two kids show up for Kid's Club, which was two more than expected, and about ten less than normal.

But only one of the ladies showed up for my Poly Clay Class.

While I was at work, DH picked up a few things I could not find yesterday: "C" batteries, a manual can opener, and more water. We've easily dropped about 200 bucks on hurrican supplies in the last two days.

Caught up on my flist, and now to go make some supper, and check the weather channel again.

Looks so far as though Dennis is going to do an Ivan, and hit to the east of us, so we'll be on the "good" side of the hurricane. Also seems to have slowed down a bit, so DH won't have to go in to the hospital until early in the AM.

Marigold's mom...

The apartment building where Anna lives is now under mandatory evacuation, so the DH has gone over there to pick her up. So Marigold's mom will be with me through the storm.

Dennis has picked back up, and they are saying Category 4, by landfall. They are also saying that it is pretty well-organized, and will pack a bit of a wallop even on the west side. I hope not too much of one.
One good thing they are saying is that it is not going to be as *wet* as Cindy was, as far as rain goes. *fingers crossed that they are right about that one*

Nighty-night

Well, we're going to try and get some rest before the DH has to report to the hospital at the crack of dawn. If I can't sleep, I'll probably be up again in a few hours. I may take something tonight to help me sleep.

Unless something changes it *looks* like Dennis the Menace is going to go in at Mobile.
