Rats! I have absolutely no-one to blame but myself, but I just realized I left it too late to go to The Last Ship before it closed to save my reviews, and to re-post my non-LOTR fics elsewhere. I kept meaning to do it, and thought about it yesterday, but then I got side-tracked... (Not that they aren't elsewhere, but the Yuletide ones are *only* at Yuletide now, and the Dom RPF is only on my LJ now. It's just a few stories, but I'll want another home for them somewhere.) And I am sorry to lose the reviews. But I kept putting it off, and now it's too late. *sigh*

And--

Yay!! After several failed attempts over the years, I have *finally* learned how to do double knitting! I am still very slow at it, using continental style with my left hand, and the English style with my right hand-- but I made a successful sample swatch that was white on one side, grey on the other, and stockinette on both sides!!

Next, I am going to try to make this potholder, only in blue and yellow, to go with my kitchen.

The Last Ship closed? I didn't know that! But I suppose that is what happens when you don't pay attention to fannish things. Too bad, it was a lovely place.

Happy knitting and thanks for the gorgeous card sweety!

Sorry about the mess up with your stories. :-(

:-O The double knitting sounds incredibly hard to do. Congrats on learning how to do it. I looked at the pattern and the end result is so nice looking! Good luck making your potholder. :-)

ACH! You do Fair Isle too! :-O You are a lot more advanced of a knitter than I am. I tried Fair Isle and about went nuts, but then after reading what you've said, I don'think I was doing it right.

I've tried Continental and really had trouble with it. I kept reading how it was supposed to be more relaxed for your hands, but to me, holding my thumb and index finger like that was not at all relaxed. LOL

Please post some photos when you get your pot holder finished! :-)

Hugs!

D'oh! I'm sorry about your stories! The same thing has happened to me at other archives and I could just cringe at the number of emails, etc. that I never saved over the years about fic!

Dom RPF? I didn't know you'd written any RPF.

Good luck with the pot holder.

I left you a review on it. I really enjoyed it. You should write more RPF for Dom. : )
You could probably post that one at Archive of Our Own. It's a shame not to have it somewhere where folks can read it.

That sounds like complex knitting. I've never even tried 'regular' knitting.

I'm sorry about the reviews. But yay on the knitting. I really should pick up knitting again. I'm still having enough with the simple knitting but I do enjoy it.

Good luck with the potholder. :)
